TONI & BEN
We chose to do this because we lost our daughter Lucianna "Lucy" Maria Gooch on September 3, 2007. We drove to the hospital on September 2, 2007, just two days before Lucy's due date, fully expecting to meet our daughter. However, the doctors informed us that her heart had stopped beating. Our litte girl was gone. Our lives were forever changed on that day. Twenty-four hours later, Lucy was delivered. She was 6 pounds 12 ounces, 19 1/2 inches long. She had dark curly hair. She was exactly what I had "ordered". The love and support from our family and friends seemed to carry us through this terrible experience. We joined an infancy loss support group where we met some amazing people who shared our pain. Lindsay had a vision of this walk late last fall and we knew it was something that we wanted to be a part of. The most important thing for us is to keep our daughter's memory alive, and to do for other children what we couldn't do for our own. It is with great pride and joy that we can participate in the Angels Walk for Wishes. Our little angels are certainly looking down at us with love in their hearts.
